Wizkid led the way with 11 nominations at the 2022 Headies Awards, followed by Ayra Starr and Tems with 8. Wizkid’s 11 nominations ensured he went home as the biggest winner on the night (5). This year, the Headies held on foreign soil, as organizers continue to expand the show and cash in on the industry’s recent impressive run of universal stateside appearance.
Emmy-nominated actor Anthony Anderson and renowned Nigerian-American actress Osas Ighodaro dazzled as co-anchors, lighting up the stage at the Cobbs Energy Arena in Atlanta, USA. There were also several performances, including an electrifying one from YBNL up-and-coming singer Asake.
