228 Million Streams: AFROPOP. VOL. 1 is Adekunle Gold’s Best Project Yet

Released on the 21st of August 2020, Nigerian singing sensation Adekunle Gold’s album AFROPOP VOL. 1 became a year old on August 21, 2021.

AFROPOP. Vol. 1. has received wide acclaim from listeners and critics and has now been streamed a total of 220 million+ times, making it the singer’s most streamed compilation project in just one year.

The album gave birth to hits like ‘AG Baby’ and ‘Something Different’ as well as sleeper hits like ‘Okay,’ the album has been streamed a whopping 228 million times across all digital platforms.

On his Instagram page, he wrote that, “Afro Pop Vol 1 is 1 today. I just want to say thank you guys for making it my most successful project yet! Big p @oluwagbeminiyi @jqlondon! We did it! This Album has changed my life. What are your fave songs? P.S Keep streaming.

Meanwhile, Gold is currently on a tour of the US, visiting states such asstates like Texas, Minneapolis, California, Florida et al, between July 2, 2021 and October 2, 2021.

There has also positive news on the Net Honours most popular musician of 2021’s follow-up album. Earlier on Twitter he teased fans to look out singles starting with the letter S, promising they would all be lit. Gold has already dropped a single starting with S this year, the smash hit Sinner, featuring Lucky Daye.
