Adekunle Gold, Tom Brady Watch-On as Cristiano Ronaldo Becomes Leading Scorer in History of Men’s Football

Cristiano Ronaldo made sure Adekunle Gold’s latest visit to Old Trafford did not end in disappointment, after the veteran bagged three goals to hand Manchester United all three points against Spurs

Football or soccer as it is called in the United States has one of the biggest followings in sports. Die hard fans can pay as much as a thousand pounds for matchday tickets and spend whooping sums on travelling expenses just to see their favourite team or players take to the field.

Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has perpetuated that kind of habit this football season, as he’s often been at Old Trafford in England, the home of his favourite football club Manchester United.

Gold was live at the Theatre of Dreams as he watched legendary Portuguese goal machine Cristiano Ronaldo bag a hat trick against top 4 rivals Totenham Hotspur to hand the Mancunians all 3 points in the fiercely contested encounter.

The match had in attendance over 70,000 people with legendary National Football League (NFL) player Tom Brady also in attendance.

Ronaldo’s 3 goals meant he became the all time leading goal scorer in the men’s game with 807, overtaking Josef Bican at 805 and leaving arch rival Lionel Messi behind on 759.

Rnaldo made sure Adekunle Gold and Brady had plenty to cheer about after the final whitsle had gone.

Ronaldo and Tom Brady

In another big Tom Brady news, after initially announcing his retirement from NFL after the recently concluded season, multiple reports now say he’s returning for the 2022 season and will play for NFL side Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Just like Ronaldo, Brady is regarded as the greatest player in the history of American football.

His countless individual accolades include 15 Pro Bowl selections, five Super Bowl MVP Awards, three regular-season MVP Awards and two NFL Offensive Player of the Year honours. Brady originally finished his career with the most regular-season completions (7,263), passing yards (84,520) and passing touchdowns (624) in NFL history.
