Adunni Ade’s ‘Soólè’ Reaches No. 1 On Netflix

Almost one year after its initial release, Adunni Ade’s debut feature film Soólè continues to score more popularity points as it has now risen to the No 1 spot on streaming platform Netflix weeks after its streaming debut.

Released in 2021, Soólè told the story of a number of strangers who find themselves in a sticky situation after discovering a huge sum of money while on a bus heading to the East. It enjoyed a very successful theatrical run, earning millions of dollars in the Nigerian box office as well as multiple accolades for its plot, theme and cast.

Following its release on Netflix on October 14th, Soólè has continued to garner positive reviews from audiences all over the globe. Commenting on the film’s recent popularity, Adunni Ade who starred in the film and also served as the producer expressed gratitude for the positive feedback the film has received, stating that she is glad that people all over have found the film relatable.

Directed by Kayode Kasum, Soólè stars Sola Sobowale, Adunni Ade, Adedimeji Lateef, Femi Jacobs, Sawn Faqua, Saheed Balogun amongst several others and is currently streaming on Netflix.
