Alan Ritchson Returns As Jack Reacher As Filming For Season 2 Officially Kicks Off

The second season of Amazon Prime’s action television series, Reacher has officially begun filming with Alan Ritchson set to return in the titular role of Jack Reacher.

Based on Lee Child’s bestselling novel series ‘Jack Reacher’, Reacher premiered in February 2022 and quickly became of the streaming service most popular series, so much so that a second season was commissioned three short days after its debut. Season 1 of the series was adapted from Lee Childs first novel, ‘The Killing Floor’ and featured Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher with Malcom Goodwin, Willa Fitzgerald, Chris Webster and Bruce McGill in lead roles.

Filming for season 2 is officially underway and was commemorated by a post on Prime Video’s official twitter page showing Alan Ritchson ready to take on the role of the hulky, brooding ex-militia navigating life as a civilian PI.

According to Collider, the series will feature an entirely new cast.  Serinda Swan (Inhumans), Ferdinand Kingsley (The Sandman), Rory Cochrane (CSI: Miami) will all be joining the show as series regulars with Domenick Lombardozzi (The Wire) set to guest star. Also new to the cast are Luke Bilyk, Dean McKenzie, Edsson Morales, Andres Collantes, Shannon Kook-Chun, Ty Victor Olsson, Josh Blacker, and Al Sapienza.

The second season of the show will be based on Lee Childs 11th book in the series, ‘Bad Luck and Trouble’. It will reportedly lean more into a revenge story as Reacher investigates the deaths of his friends from his old military unit.
