Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson are two of Hollywood’s most frequent collaborators. Although such repeated collaborations is nothing new in Hollywood, very few have stood out like what the chemistry between the comedic duo bring to the screen whenever they come together. Having these two mega-Hollywood stars in a movie (or TV show) is an easy way for any studio to score easy money at the box office, and the movie industry has stayed relentless in milking this camaraderie to the fullest.
This isn’t a ranking, but a friendly listing of all the movies Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson have starred in together, including movies where one or both of them appeared in a cameo role.
Central Intelligence (2016)
Central Intelligence was the movie that kicked off all the on-screen madness between Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson. Everyone saw how well they worked together and that, unofficially, precipitated the cascade of collaborations we’re still experiencing to this moment.
The movie followed an accountant, Calvin Joyner (Hart), whose life changes drastically after Bob Stone (Johnson), his old classmate from high school drags him into a dubious covert operation.
Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle (2017)
This revival of the 1995 movie starring Robin Williams was the next project to bring the duo back together. Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson played two of four starring avatars in a reimagining of Jumanji that saw characters sucked inward into the adventurous jungle of Jumanji. To return home, they must finish the game.
Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019)
This spin-off of the main F&F movies sees Dwayne Johnson’s Luke Hobbs team up with Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw. But in a particular scene where both characters are onboard a flight, a third, surprisingly welcome act joins the party, momentarily. Yes, you guessed it: Kevin Hart. The scene was a short, not-so-hilarious, but welcome one.
Jumanji: The Next Level (2019)
Riding off the success of the 2017 revival, Sony Pictures brought the gang again for another adventure. There was no shortage of the trademark Hart and Johnson humour here.
DC League of Super-Pets (2022)
Later this year, Hart and Johnson will team up, once more, and provide the voices for Krypto and Ace when DC League of Super-Pets finally releases in theatres. It promises to be fun.
Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime side by side in Metropolis. However, when the Man of Steel and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince a ragtag group of animals to master their own newfound powers for a rescue mission.
Jumanji 4 (TBA)
Not much is known about this inevitable sequel, but we expect Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson to team up once more and blow the minds of fans away.
