A sequel for one of Bollywood’s worldwide hits of 2022, RRR, is currently in the works.
RRR, which is also one of the most expensive Indian films ever made, debuted in March 2022 to rousing, worldwide acclaim for its story and high production quality. The story follows two friends, a fearless revolutionary and an officer in the British force, who once shared a deep bond, and decide to join forces and chart out an inspirational path of freedom against the despotic rulers.
Director S.S. Rajamouli confirmed the news about the sequel, saying:
“My father is the story writer for all my films. We discussed a bit about (RRR 2) and he’s working on the story.”
The original movie stars N.T. Rama Rao Jr. and Ram Charan as two real-life Indian freedom fighters, Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju.
Not much is known about when the sequel will arrive yet.
