Man of the moment Ololade Asake can’t seem to put a foot wrong at the moment; he has equalled Davido’s record of 5 #1 entries on the TurnTable Charts Nigeria Top 100 (the evolution of the former TurnTable Top 50 chart,) as his hit song Terminator debuts on #1 on this week’s iteration of the chart.
Chart rankings on the Nigeria Top 100 are aggregated by weighting audio and video streams within Nigeria, as well as airplay on radio and satellite TV in the country.
Terminator raked in 6.83 million streams (No. 1 on streaming) and 55.9 million in radio reach (No. 2 on streaming). It is Asake’s third No. 1 entry on the Top 100 – and fifth overall (Top 100 and Top 50 combined). Stats provided by turntablecharts.com
It sets a new record for the biggest streams across all platforms in a week; with its 6.83 million streams in a week which is 2.32 million more than the previous highest, Bandana which raked in 4.48 million streams in its second week.
NB: Stats only applies to the Nigeria Top 100 as TurnTable Charts now employs a weighted multi-metric methodology for its streaming component (since July 11, 2022).
Asake equals Davido as the artists with the most No. 1 songs in Nigeria – five each. Asake’s No. 1 records include Omo Ope, Sungba (Remix), PBUY, Bandana and Terminator.
