Black Excellence: DJ Cuppy Reminds Fans Who The Richest Black Man Is

Daughter of billionaire businessman and philanthropist DJ Cuppy stepped into the richest-black-man-on-earth debate on Sunday, 16th Jan., reminding fans whom the fact books indeed consider the black person with the fattest pockets.

We’re not exactly sure what triggered Cuppy’s random clarity message. However, back in 2021, several reports said American rapper and businessman Kanye West was the richest black person in the history of America- a claim that was later debunked by American business and lifestyle magazine, Forbes. Kanye West, renowned for his egoistic antics, has however, not refrained from letting the world know he’s rich and he’s black.

According to Forbes, chairman of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote is the current richest black person and African, with a net-worth of about $13 billion, whereas Kanye West is worth about $1.8 billion. Mr Dangote also happens to be Cuppy’s godfather and the DJ thought to remind people of her billionaire connection and her godfather’s financial capacity. Whichever, it’s good to see many black people reaching billionaire status. That’s black excellence!
