Boomplay and 9Mobile Partner to Lower Cost of Music Streaming

Music streaming platform Boomplay has partnered with telecommunications giant 9Mobile to give fans access to more affordable streaming services and membership.

Boomplay is one of Afroca’s biggest music streaming platforms and this new initiative promises to expand their customer base even more.

Speaking about the development, Dele Kadiri, General Manager at Boomplay Nigeria, said, “We are very optimistic about cementing a business relationship with 9Mobile, which will grant many more Nigerians access to the music they love through affordable data packages.”

Meanwhile 9Mobile’s Director of Product Innovation and Business Development in his remarks said, “Nigerians love great music and 9mobile is passionate about what excites Nigerians, which is why we are excited about working with Boomplay to deliver quality and affordable premium music streaming to Nigerians. The highspeed connectivity that comes with our data packages will ensure a seamless experience for users.“

Boomplay members will now have access to over 70 million songs from top talents around the world for as low as one hundred and fifty naira. They will enjoy non-stop advert-free streaming experience or they can decide to download and add the songs to their library for offline listening.

The membership fee will come in daily, weekly or monthly instalments, with capped data access usabable across other internet platforms. 9Mobile and Boomplay customers can subscribe to the new service via USSD code, with the charges deducted from their credit balance.

For Boomplay daily subscription with 9Mobile, customers will have to dial2293*10# (300MB data) N150.

For Boomplay weekly subscription with 9Mobile at N500 only, customers will have to dial 2294*16# (additional 1GB data).

Whereas for Boomplay monthly subscription with 9Mobile at N1500 and 3.49GB data, customers will dial 2292*38# to subscribe.
