Boomplay Users Vote Oxlade’s “Want You” as Song of The Week

Members of streaming platform Boomplay have voted Oxlade’s 2022 single “Want You” as the song of the week.

According to the official Instagram account of Boomplay, “Want You” won the Boom Buddies award, from a pool of six songs including Confam (Dremo ft. Simi), Charger (Timaya), Reckless (Praiz), Ice Cream (Falz ft. BNXN), and Danger (Terri).

Fans were asked to choose from the six songs which one they’d been repeating throughout the week, after which votes were collated from all of Boomplay’s social media and the app’s buzz section.

However, “Want You” failed to appear in the top ten of the platform’s most streamed song for the just concluded week.

Both the audio and music video for “Want You” released on March 18, few days after Oxlade was involved in a sex tape scandal.
