Broda Shaggi Set To Star As Lead In Mazi Chimex’s Satirical, ‘A Bag of Trouble’

Broda Shaggi, one of Nollywood’s foremost comical actors is set to star in Mazi Chimex’s latest satirical feature titled a Bag of Trouble.

Written and direct by Chimex, and produced by by Michael Chimex Onwunali and Collis T.Miller for Tehilla Films and Spinning Films Ltd, a Bag of Trouble follows a young man who suddenly becomes richer than he could’ve ever dreamed. He must now fight the figments of his mind and the evil he perceives closing in, or slide back into the tough world he’s all to familiar with.

Set to star along side Shaggi, are the likes of Oga Sabinus, Hafeez Oyetoro, Jide Kosoko, Bimbo Oshin, and a host of others, making up a star studded lineup.

Mazi Chimex describes the satirical film as an x-ray into what happens in the mind of most people when their prayers are suddenly answered.

Mazi, a versatile filmmaker known for the award-winning short film NightFall, will see a Bag of Trouble become his very first full-length feature.

Development for the film began back in January last year with principal photography running from June 2022 through to July 2022 in the big city of Ibadan.

A release date for the film is yet to be communicated.
