About Burna Boy
Burna Boy is the only Nigerian to have won a Grammy for his original work. One of Africa’s most successful musical polymaths, he has found success experimenting with different genres including reggae, dance hall, rap, hi-life, pop, hip hop, and Caribbean.
Born to a businessman and a translator mother, Burna Boy graduated with a media technology degree at the University of Sussex in England. He acquired creative tutelage from his mother, Bose Ogulu, whose father happened to be part of the legendary Fela Kuti’s managerial team.
Burna Boy’s strengths lie both in his lyricism, vocals, and delivery making him the complete musician, one of the finest of his generation.
