Fresh from thrilling fans at the Madison Square Garden in New York, where he announced the title of his next project, Burna Boy has shared little more insight into the upcoming body of work titled Love, Damini.

Love, Damini will be Burna Boy’s sixth studio album, his first since 2020’s Twice As Tall. Already we can anticipate the project will be packed with themes of gratefulness and appreciation judging by it’s title.

However, the 30-year-old singer explained in a Tweet on April 29 exactly what the album will be about, saying: “Love, Damini is a personal body of work. It’s about the ups and downs, the growth, the L’s and W’s. I’m excited to share this journey and roll out with you all #LoveDamini#Burnaboy.”

Burna Boy has been on a remarkable streak of fame and riches, and has barely finished revelling in the success of his last two projects. No doubt his relationship with the fans has been palpable throughout that journey, and an album doused in the concept of appreciation and love is totally understandable.

Love, Damini will release exactly on Burna Boy’s 31st birthday, July 2, 2022.
