Burna Boy has shared the music video for his 2022 hit song ‘Common Person’. The song is off the Grammy winner’s 6th studio album, Love, Damini, which also released in 2022.
Four songs (‘Last Last’, ‘Vanilla’, ‘For My hand’, and ‘It’s Plenty’) from the 19-track album have already had their videos released, with ‘Common Person’ set to become the fifth one.
As well as a smash, the record was a meme last year, inspiring millions of TikTok videos. In the video, Burna Boy embodies the song’s narrative; returning to his roots where he’s perceived as a demigod for all his achievements, he maintains his modest human nature embracing the people and partaking in the culture. At one point, he pounds yam, plucks vegetables, and helps a stranger hard-start his car.
