Talented and popular American female rapper, Cardi B, won the Best Rap Album of the year. On receiving her award, she walks up stage with estranged husband, Offset, indicating that they are officially back together.
Cardi B became the first solo female rapper to win the Best Rap Album of the year at the 61st Grammy Awards Show.
She beat the likes of Travis Scott, Mac Miller, and Pusha T to win the Best Rap Album. This is her first Grammy Award for ‘Invasion of Privacy’.
At a point during her speech, Cardi appreciated the migos group and Offset , and all the artistes who featured in her album. She also called offset, her husband.
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ singer also recounted the difficulties she faced recording the album while pregnant with her daughter, Kulture and appreciated her team for inspiring her to finish the album.
According to Daily Post, Cardi B, shared the Grammy with Mac Miller, the young rapper who died in 2018 and was also nominated in the same Best Album category.
Lil Kim wrote, “Thank U Jesus! Look at God. Congratulations boo @iamcardib you deserve it! So happy for you.
Also, rapper Remy Ma tweeted, “Yes Cardi B congratulation babes.”
Iggy Azalea wrote, “Woah Cardi B won! Super happy to see a female rapper win a Grammy, you dominated 2018 girl.”
Music producer, DJ Khaled wrote: “Congrats Cardi B Well Deserved.”
Cardi B and Offset
After the shocking revelation, early November 2018, made by Cardi B on Instagram that she is no longer with her baby daddy, Offset, fans could not comprehend if it was a publicity stunt or if it was real.
”I have been trying to work things out with my baby father and we are really good friends and business partners and we’ve got a lot of love for each other…things haven’t been working out between us for a long time and it’s nobody’s fault. I don’t know it might take time to get a divorce and I am always going to love him forever because he is my daughter’s father,” she said.
However, few weeks ago, it was revealed that the duo were back together after their acclaimed separation.
According to TMZ, the couple are finally back togther as Cardi B has moved back to her matrimonial home in Atlanta.
According to TMZ in Pulse News, the reunion didn’t come without some new rules as Offset had to change his phone number which is going to strictly for business purposes and family. Another new rule will be that Offset is going to be staying away from his ‘groupies’ and stay faithful to his wife.
