Chris Rock Is Set To Host The First Live Comedy Show On Netflix

Netflix plans to make history with Chris Rock. The streaming service announced that Rock will become the first artist to ever perform live on their streaming service. 

“Chris Rock is one of the most iconic and important comedic voices of our generation,” Robbie Praw, Netflix’s vice president of stand-up and comedy formats, said in a statement. “We’re thrilled the entire world will be able to experience a live Chris Rock comedy event and be a part of Netflix history. This will be an unforgettable moment and we’re so honored that Chris is carrying this torch.”

Rock’s first Netflix special was titled “Chris Rock: Tamborine,’ and it debuted in February 2018.

This Netflix special will be Chris Rock’s second for the streaming service. It is expected to start streaming in early 2023.
