Convicted Nollywood Actor Baba Ijesha Turns Hero In Prison

To the outside world, Olarewaju Omiyinka James popularly known as Baba Ijesha might be seen as the Nollywood actor convicted of molestation of a child but to the inmates of the Nigerian Correctional Service Facility in Kirikiri, Baba Ijesha is seen as something of a hero following an incident that transpired several weeks ago in the prison.

According to several reports, Baba Ijesha was said to have slayed a snake, with his bare hands no less. Alaroye reported that the Nolloywood actor while on his way to receive medical treatment at the facility’s clinic encountered several inmates in a frenzy over a big snake lurking behind a generator set. He then reportedly made his way to where the snake was hiding, picked it with his bare hands, swerved it vigorously and slammed it to the ground, killing it instantly.

The incident which took place several weeks ago was said to have turned the Nollywood actor into a hero in the eyes of the inmates present as they continued to spread the word on how Baba Ijesha killed a big snake without any weapons.

Baba Ijesha is currently serving a 16 year sentence after being found guilty of child molestation in July 2022.
