Popular Nigerian musicians Davido and Tiwa Savage have visited the gravesite of their belated friend Obama DMW.
Habeeb Uthman aka Obama DMW was a musical tour manager, label executive, CEO of Obama Music Worldwide. According to close sources, he died of suspected heart failure on Tuesday June 29 after complaining of laboured breathing. Although Uthman was able to take himself to Evercare Hospital, Lagos, his admission for medical attention was short-lived and he ultimately gave up the ghost there.
He was buried the next day according to Islamic rites, meaning only family members, friends, and close allies within Lagos at the time could attend his funeral to pay their last respects.
Obama and Davido were close allies, often spotted together on several events, travels, and tours. He also shared great friendship with Tiwa Savage, that gave rise to rumours of a romantic relationship between the singer and the late music executive. Both Davido and Savage have since made public their agony in the demise of Uthman, sharing heart-warming tributes along the way.
