Davido’s winning in music and consistently winning at making sure the love goes round. On Wednesday, June 22, the prolific musician promised a young Ghanaian boy, Morro Suleyman scholarship covering tuition and upkeep at his dad’s private university.
Davido is the son of Nigerian billionaire and business tycoon Adedeji Adeleke, and a tweet shared by the singer revealed Suleyman has been granted full 4-5 years scholarship at the Adeleke University in Osun state.
A viral tweet had caught Davido’s attention earlier about the said Suleyman allegedly boasting an excellent secondary school leaving certificate but not being able to further his education due to his parents being too poor to sponsor him in a tertiary institution.
Davido quickly begged his over 11 million twitter followers to search for Suleyman. And when they apparently did, he broke the news of his scholarship.
Last year, Davido raised over 200 million naira in cash for orphanages across Nigeria through friendly donations. He countless acts of goodwill towards the people, means he’s easily one of Afrobeats’ biggest philanthropists.
