Davido’s new album is around the corner.
As we gear up for the singer’s fourth studio project, he has announced the title and release date of the album’s first official single.
Davido took to his Instagram page on May 10 to make the revelation, posting a snippet video of the song’s glorious making.
The caption on the post read:
“This one is special to me. It’s different. The conception has been different. The mindset has been different. The making has been different. I know you love it when I make you dance, but now I want to make you feel. This one’s for everyone out there holding it up. I know what I’ve experienced the past 10 years, and alot of you have been through it all with me. But… have you really? For the first time I want to bring you into the other part of my world. The part where every day is a battle but I have no option but to STAND STRONG. I present to you, the first single off my next album.”
The upcoming single is titled “Stand Strong” and features legendary American rapper Kanye West’s Sunday Service Choir, The Samples. Although not confirmed yet, Davido may have recruited Kanye West and Pheelz for the song’s production.
Not to get your hopes high, but the blurry video shows a man in a blue hoodie who looks just like Kanye leading the composition with the piano in the middle of a large choir dressed in black robes.
Davido featuring The Samples — “Stand Strong” will release on May 13, but check out the the song’s teaser video below.
