With the growing union between African film productions and Netflix comes yet another collaboration between Nigeria and Kenya in Disconnect: The Wedding Planner.
The romantic comedy film follows the story of a man desperate to turn his situation around but ends up on the wrong end of a scam. As time goes by, his desperation and helplessness grow but a glimmer of hope appears when an opportunity presents itself; planning a luxurious destination wedding for an important investor.
Directed by David ‘Toch’ Gitonga, the comedy-drama film features performances from Catherine Kamau, Ozioma Jesus, Brenda Wairimu, Brian Ogola, Patricia Kihoro, and many more.
