Don Jazzy has unveiled yet another young addition to the Mavin Records family. Jazzy announced via Twitter on Tuesday, August 23 that up-and-coming singer Bayanni has been signed up to the label.
The message was accompanied by a skit featuring popular Instagram comedians Mr Funny and Brain Jotter. In the tweet, the Mavin Records boss wrote:
“It’s that time again when we bring to you another young talent from the Mavin Academy. Meet BAYANNI. He has gone through series of defining moments and is ready to be unveiled to the world. Pls Welcome @itsbayanni, the newest MAVIN.”
Bayani becomes the latest young talent to be snapped up by Jazzy after Boy Spyce who debuted a 5-track EP earlier this year. Jazzy’s talent grooming exploits in the industry has seen him produce numerous A-list performers including the legendary DBanj, Wande Coal, Dr Sid, Rema and many others.
On his Twitter account, Bayanni shared his delight following his latest achievement while also appreciating his new boss, Jazzy. He wrote:
“Lonely nights, dark mornings, waiting for the sun to shine on me while posting my freestyles back in 2016.Then I got a DM in 2019 from someone I respect so much. @DONJAZZY thank you for giving this opportunity. Sit back, as I take you on this journey. I’m ready, ARE YOU?”
Don Jazzy tells us to expect new music from his new artist, maybe even as early as midnight.
Bayanni is a young artist mostly known for now for his covers of popular Afrofusion songs. He’s shown very high musical prowess with his covers, an absorbing voice and clever lyricism. Hopefully, we learn more about the rising star in the coming days.
