United States authorities, on Thursday, March 26 denied offering a new type of work visa to Nigerians between the ages of 40 and 55 years.
The denial has come in response to a supposed press release by United States Embassy announcing the work permit for Nigerians.

However, the US Mission in Nigeria said the purported press release in circulation is “fake” and is being mongered by “scammers and fraudsters.”
“It’s the same old scam, but in fresh packaging – don’t become a victim,” the mission tweeted.
They further urged Nigerians seeking visa information to refer only to official sources.
Until January 2021, Nigerians, and some other countries such as Yemen, Venezuela was on an immigration ban but, soon after the inauguration of current President Joe Biden, the ban was lifted. Now Nigerians can apply for US green cards which grants them official immigration status in the United States.
