American rapper and businessman, Kanye West, shared his intention to run for the seat of the President of the United States–again– on Tuesday, November 21. Only a few days after, and Ye has teased fans he might be the running mate of former President, Donald Trump.
In case you missed it, Ye and Donald Trump had their Twitter accounts reinstated this week, and the 44-year-old rapper was quick to joke about testing whether his account works.
“Testing Testing. Seeing if my Twitter is unblocked,” Ye Tweeted. Kanye’s buddy and fellow conservative, Twitter CEO Elon Musk was one of those in Ye’s comments. Musk replied, “Don’t kill what ye hate Save what ye love” and Kanye followed up by commenting an infamous Jewish salutation: “Shalom.”

Kanye returned to Twitter on Wednesday, November 23 to share that he unintentionally kept Donald Trump waiting at the President’s Mar Lago resort. “First time at Mar-a-Lago,” Kanye tweeted. “Rain and traffic. Can’t believe I kept President Trump waiting. And I had on jeans. Yikes.”
The father of four went further to share a poll about Trump’s reaction to being his running mate.
“What you guys think his response was when I asked him to be my running mate in 2024?”
The options in the poll included “That’s very Ye” and “That’s very Nay.”
Back in 2020, West independently ran for POTUS and emerged with about 60,000 votes across a dozen states. Any merger with Trump will see him affiliate with the Republican Party. The next U.S. Presidential election is in 2024. Keep your eyes on this one.
