Dreamville, Bas and Ayra Star Share New Song 'Ogogoro' off Creed III Soundtrack Album: Listen

American record label Dreamville shared the full soundtrack for the American boxing movie Creed III, with features from Ayra Starr, Kel P, Black Sherif, and more. The album, titled Creed III: The Soundtrack, has 18 songs.

Ayra Starr’s red-hot form has earned her several high-profile collaborations, including on 2 Sugar off Wizkid’s fifth studio album MLLE. She’s featured on track number 6, Ogogoro alongside Dreamville rapper Bas, singing the refrain with her signature husky strain while Bas lays the only verse on the song. Black Sherif and Kel P also appear alongside Bas on track number 18, Blood Sweat, & Tears, one of the lead singles of the project.

Afrobeats growing global appeal has served as the catalyst for Nigerian artists to feature on such film-related projects with high cultural impact, especially on Black communities. Recall that the soundtrack for Disney’s remake of The Lion King in 2019 packed Afrobeats stars, including Burna Boy, Wizkid, Yemi Alade, Tekno, and Mr Eazi. Likewise, the original soundtrack for the second installment of the Marvel Superhero movie Black Panther, had several lead Nigerian acts, such as Tems, Burna Boy, CKay, and Fireboy DML.

Creed III stars Michael B. Jordan in the titular role, talented boxer Adonis Creed, as he takes on the fight of his life when an old friend and prodigious boxer, Damian (played by Jonathan Majors) returns from prison to prove that he’s still got what it takes.
