Fans could not hide their excitement when J Cole announced plans for The Off-Season about 2 weeks ago- his sixth studio album. According to the Dreamville boss, the album took years to make and is one of 3 massive projects to come before his retirement.
We’ve already had a lil taste of the album from Interlude and according to the tracklist released by Cole on social media, there are 11 more songs that’ll bless our eardrums. However, unlike Cole’s previous 3 studio albums, 2014 Forest Hill Drive, 4 Your Eyes Only, and KOD, there may be guest features on The Off-Season. All of those previous albums without features are Platinum Certified by RIAA, making Cole fans tout the infamous phrase “platinum with no features” in various pockets of the internet.

The Off-Season is executive produced by Cole himself, his Sudanese manager, Ibrahim Hamad, and Canadian record producer Tyler Mathew Carl Williams a.k.a. T-Minus. It also features 13 other record producers including Timbaland and Boi-1da.
