On Sunday, March 5, Banky W shared a sermon themed “Faith After a Fall” with the congregation at The Waterbrook Church, where worships. During the message, he opened up about his loss at the 2023 House of Representatives election. The renowned musician, actor, and philanthropist ran to represent Eti Osa Federal Constituency under the umbrella of the PDP but surprisingly lost to Thaddeus Attah of the Labour Party.
Banky said he had initially planned to make his message about thanksgiving but had to reorganize after the gloom that has surrounded Nigeria, not just him, since the election. He, however, shared that he is still grateful to God, resolute in his faith, and committed to serving God and serving his people.
Sharing a snippet of his address at TWB, he wrote: “For anyone who’s ever suffered through a loss, a disappointment or a situation where things just didn’t work out the way you hoped… “Faith after a Fall” is for you. For me. For all of us. Please watch this and share if you feel compelled. The full message is on my YouTube page.” Check out his full sermon below.
