The sequel to 2019 hit action comedy film Sugar Rush has officially commenced filming as disclosed by producer, Jade Osiberu.
Osiberu confirmed the production with an Instagram post showing its female leads, Adesua Etomi-Wellignton, Bisola Aiyeola and Bimbo Ademoye with the caption, “Day 1 Giving you guys back to back cos I love you. You’re welcome lol #greohstudios“
Sugar Rush took the country by storm after its 2019 release as millions flocked to cinemas to watch the Sugar sisters in the race against time to recover a large sum belonging to a dreadful crime lord.
The sequel will be helmed by award winning Martinican director Khris Burton replacing Kayode Kasum, director of the first film.
Known for the viral short film Maybe Another Time, Burton will be the second foreign director to collaborate with Greoh Studios to helm a Nigerian film after its latest theatrical release, Brotherhood directed by Ugandan filmmaker Loukman Ali.
