FilmOne Entertainment together with Leon Global Media are gearing up to reboot the 1996 Yoruba drama classic, Owo Blow.
The action-thriller film directed by legendary filmmaker, Tade Ogidan explored in three parts, issues like corruption, unemployment, extrajudicial punishment and wrongful practices by law enforcement which plagued the country at that time. The film provided debut appearances for the likes of Femi Adebayo, Rachel Oniga and Bimbo Akintola.

“This dramatic and highly emotional, action-thriller shines the spotlight on the social issues, and often misguided powers responsible for the vanishing middle class in Nigeria. These same themes are what made the original film an instant classic and remain relevant today,” the official announcement reads.
Written by Daniel Ademinokan and Musa Jeffery, with direction handled by Ademinokan, Owo Blow will be hitting cinemas in 2023.
