Fireboy DML Makes Historic Wembley Bow, Gets Emotional Afterwards — Watch

Fireboy-DML Peru Remix

Fireboy DML and Ed Sheeran performed Peru (Remix) at a packed Wembley stadium during the early hours of Thursday, June 30. Performance is part of Ed Sheeran’s X-Tour, which will see him perform in stadiums across the world and will hold up to 5 shows in Wembley between June and July.

There are famous concert grounds that have been storied throughout history, and the Wembley Stadium in London, England arguably sits atop that list. The iconic ground is not only regarded as the home of football, but has also hosted some of the world’s greatest nights in sports and art, even before it became the modern edifice it is today.

A concert capacity of up to two hundred thousand people makes it one of the largest venues. Every artist would love to perform at Wembley, and not even Fireboy DML could hold back the tears after becoming the first Nigerian act to climb the Wembley pulpit.

A fan-leaked video showing the singer trying to fight back the tears has surfaced online.

Not to gas Fireboy DML, but the talented singer has been on a roll of groundbreaking achievements, in a week that also saw him become the first Nigerian to perform main-stage at the BET Awards. Of course, big big thanks must go to the global success of Peru (Remix).
