Genevieve Nnaji Breaks Silence After Mental Illness Rumor

Nollywood actress and screen goddess, Genevieve Nnaji has finally returned to social media following the recent rumor of her experiencing a mental illness.

According to several unverified reports, the movie star was allegedly suffering from a mental issue and has been seeking treatment in a hospital in Houston, Texas.

She took to her Instagram story in the late hours of Tuesday, May 10th, where she shared a video of herself painting on a canvass.

She captioned it, “#mindfulness”

Backing up the rumor was Nnaji’s disppearance from Instagram which became noticeable on Monday, May 9, few days after her 43rd birthday.

Sparking more concern among her fans was when the actress deleted all her posts and unfollowed everyone on the Instagram.

Nnaji doubles as a film producer and director.

She won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in 2005, making her the first actor to win the award.
