‘God of War’ Live Action Series Coming To Prime Video

Ever wondered what a real-life adaptation of Kratos’s adventures would look like? Well, count yourself lucky because you’re about to find out. Amazon has announced that a live-action ‘God of War’ series has been ordered for Prime Video.

The series will follow Kratos, the God of War, who leaves his gory past in ancient Greece to reside in the Norse realm of Midgard. Kratos mourns his dead wife and sets out with his son Atreus, on a treacherous journey to fulfill his wife’s dying wish – spreading her ashes from the highest peak. On his way, he is forced to fight off all kinds of new Gods and monsters as his bond with his son is tested.

The announcement of the upcoming series comes shortly after the game sequel  God of War: Ragnarok was released to the public, soon becoming the fastest-selling first-party launch game in Play Station history selling over 5.1 million copies in the first week.

Kratos’s live-action portrayal will be the latest In the growing line of video games adapted into movies, joining the likes of HBO’s The Last of Us, Paramount+’s Halo, and Netflix’s Witcher.
