One week after Marvel released their highly anticipated superhero epic ‘Eternals’ in cinemas worldwide, fans in Nigeria can now see the film.
Recall that ‘Eternals’ was reportedly rumoured to have been banned in the country by the Nigerian Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) because it contained controversial adult content.
However, Nigerian theatre giants Filmhouse, later confirmed that the title was only postponed and that plans to bring it to screens across Nigeria were underway and they have now materialised, as Filmhouse announced via their social media handles that the film is now showing.
Marvel’s Eternals are essentially idealized, humanoid aliens from the planet Olympia, genetically engineered by godlike Celestials. These particular Eternals were sent to Earth by the Celestials to fight against the evil Deviants and defend humanity, and they’ve been silently keeping watch for centuries.
After 7000 years, following Thanos’ ambition to destroy half of the world, resulting in two snaps, one to destroy the world, the other to bring the lives lost back to earth, the Deviants have unfortunately returned, and so the Eternals have come out of hiding to ward them off again.
Here’s how you can watch Marvel’s Eternals this weekend.
