“I had dreams of playing in the NBA”– Burna Boy

Burna Boy, in a post-performance interview on Sunday 19th February, shared he once had a dream of playing in America’s National Basketball Association league.

The Grammy winner headlined the halftime show at the 2023 NBA All-Star game, which had many guests in attendance. In a short clip that’s been circulating online from the interview, an upbeat Burna admitted it was a dream come true for him to perform at the NBA, despite not attaining his childhood fantasy of competing on the platform.

The ‘African Giant’ mastermind’s compatriots Rema and Tems also performed at the event.

At the end of the day, NBA’s all-time highest scorer Lebron James couldn’t inspire his team, Team Lebron to victory over Team Giannis, led by Greek-Nigerian Giannis Antetokounmpo.
