“I was The Queen Of Auditions” – Funke Akindele-Bello Interview

Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has opened up about her acting career in soul-stirring interview that has had many Nigerians teary.

In the personal heart to heart talk which she had with fans on her YouTube channel, the award-winning screen diva revealed details about the rise of her acting career.

First, Funke Akindele spoke of how she nearly gave up acting because things were not going as she planned. According to her, she used to go to a whole lot of rejections and it was either she was rejected outright or made to play a very minor role. Akindele-Bello noted that her mother was one of her greatest motivation and pillars who encouraged her not to quit the movie industry.

Eventually, the disappointment ended when she got her big break in a soap opera titled I need to know. Afterwards, though, she had a dearth again which was even worse than the first one. But her passion, determination and persistence gave way so that, now, she has become a star to be reckoned with.
