Ramsey Noauh is set to direct.

Igbo Landing from Play Network Studios

Igbo Landing is the latest movie project announced by Play network Studios.

Taking to his Instagram page to break the news, CEO Charles “Charles of Play” Okpaleke shared the news to his excited fans.

“Igbo Amaka!! These are exciting times!

“Play Network Studios and Ramsey Films will be embarking on another epoch-making journey down history lane.

“See you in 2025!”

The upcoming movies looks to be drawing inspiration from the history books to retell the story of about 75 Igbo people who decided to rebel against the slavers who took them on the three-month voyage from West Africa to St. Simons Island.

They chose to drown their captors and themselves in the sea rather than be enslaved in a foreign land. The Igbo Landing is regarded as the first major freedom march in America’s history by some.
