Nollywood darling, Kehinde Bankole has taken to her official Instagram handle to announce her return to set to film the sequel to the 2019 movie The Setup.
In The Setup, [ersonal vendettas collide when a down-on-his-luck businessman hires a young female con-artist to help with his scheme to marry a wealthy heiress.
The movie starred Adesua Etomi-Wellington, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Jim Iyke, Kehinde Bankole, Uzor Arukwe, Tina Mba, among many others. Some members of the cast are already confirmed to reprise their roles, like Bankole and Adesua Etomi.
Joining the lineup for the sequel are veteran star actress Kate Henshaw and King of Boy star Tope Olowoniyan.
As production continues, we expect to hear more about what’s coming with The Setup 2.
The Setup 2’s release follows a multi-picture deal between Inktblot and Amazon Prime Video, confirming the latter’s resolve to further penetrate and compete in Africa’s largest film market.
A theatrical release date has been confirmed for The Setup 2 for August 12, with a streaming debut soon after.
