Is Seyi Shay The Nigerian Simon Cowell?

Singer and songwriter Seyi Shay has easily gained the reputation as the bluntest judge on the 6th and current season of Nigerian Idol.

The singer’s brutal feedback to a 17-year-old contestant fetched her heavy backlash on social media.

“Somebody lied to you. Somebody told you to come here and audition. You are never going to make money being a singer. I love you, you are so sweet but you are not a singer. For songwriting, hit me up, we could talk but that singing, it is not going to work. Sorry, Darling.”
