Award winning Nigerian film director, cinematographer, and producer Izuchukwu Ojukwu has returned to film making, announcing plans for a new feature titled “Train From Kafanchan.”
Ojukwu’s return to filming has come following a 5-year hiatus and several weeks after his post Nigerian civil war drama “76” premiered on Netflix. Regarded as one of the best modern Nigerian films, “76” starred Ramsey Noah, Rita Dominic, Kanayo O Kanayo, Chidi Mokeme, and a host of many other stellar Nigerian actors.
Although the plot of “Train From Kafanchan” remains hidden for now, it is expected to also be set in post Nigerian civil war. A call for auditions has also started, with the screening holding in Abuja and Lagos on the 9th and 10th of October respectively.
