After more than two years of waiting, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan is so graciously coming back to TV screens for its third season.
Prime Video announced today that the hit action-thriller series will be returning for its third season on December 21, nearly 39 months after the release of season 2. That’s right, 39 months!
Season 3 will see John Kraniski back in the titular action hero on the run from both the agency and a deadly new enemy. The official logline reads, “Jack Ryan is wrongly implicated in a larger conspiracy and suddenly finds himself a fugitive out in the cold. Now wanted by both the CIA and an international rogue faction that he has uncovered, Jack is forced underground, crisscrossing Europe, trying to stay alive, while preventing a massive global conflict.”
Season 3 of Jack Ryan will consist of eight episodes and will be the show’s penultimate season as Deadline reports the show’s fourth season will be its last.
In addition to returning stars Kraniski, Wendell Pierce and Michael Kelly, new series regulars joining the third season include Nina Hoss (Homeland), as Alena Kovac and Betty Gabriel (Get Out, Clickbait) as Elizabeth Wright.
