Burna Boy released his sixth studio album Love, Damini on Friday, July 8. The highly anticipated project is the prolific singer’s first list play since conquering the world at the 2021 Grammys, where he won the Best Global Album Award with his highly-collaborative album Twice as Tall (2020).
The rollout of Love, Damini began with the release of singles “Kilometre” back in April 2021, and “Last Last” a year later in May 2022.
As well as making the headlines with his captivating concerts and bold interviews, Burna has also been in the news for person-problems, most recently; Burna and his entourage were linked with case of assault and attempted murder in a Lagos night club.
However, Love, Damini was almost fully done before that character-unravelling incident and Burna may not have had time to artistically address those issues. His loyal ‘Outsiders’ won’t mind too much though, as long as their idol delivers another Grammy-worthy project.

Love, Damini‘s 19 tracks is 1 hour, 1 minute long, with guest appearances from Afroswing pioneer J Hus, Victony, Khelani, Popcan, J Balvin, and frequent collaborator British Pop singer Ed Sheeran.
The song with Ed Sheeran “For My Hand” had been performed during the ‘Divide’ singer’s recent X-Tour concert, and accompanies Love, Damini with a brand-new elevator-door-inspired video.
