With the MCU gradually working towards introducing the X-Men into its cinematic universe, several marvel and movie fans have been calling for Nope star, Keke Palmer to be cast as Rogue, one of the X-men’s most powerful and popular members and Keke has finally weighed in on the topic.
In an interview with ComicBook.com, Palmer was asked whether the folks at Marvel has reached out to her following the online discussion and although coy while answering, she expressed her willingness to be a part of the MCU. See her full response below;
“That’s confidential, sugar. No, I’m kidding. I don’t know. I just know that the fans, the way that the fans have me booked, honey, online, I got to do a gig every week. So if we’re adding Marvel to it, hey, let’s do it. I’m ready for Rogue.”
With the MCU gradually introducing mutants into its universe, first with Ms.Marvel and then the Tenoch Huerta’s Namor and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine on the way, fans are doing their best to curb their excitement as we inch closer to the X-Men’s MCU debut.
With Rogue being one of the X-Men’s most powerful heroes, not to mention charismatic and driven, fast rising and incredibly talented actress Keke Palmer does seem like the perfect choice to bring her to life, seeing as she already embodies these traits in her everyday life. Her performances in films like Nope, Hustlers and Scream Queens already establishes her prowess and versatility as an actor and how amazing she looks in multiple fan arts is just the little cherry on top.
