Anyone familiar with the MCU’s Guardians of the Galaxy knows that Peter Quill and his friends are (sorta) obsessed with Kevin Bacon, the actor. First namedropped in the first Guardians movie back in 2014, it looks like the long-running gag will finally pay off in the upcoming Holiday Special being released in time for Christmas 2022.
In the recently released trailer, we see Peter Quill aka Star-Lord visibly downtrodden by the continued loss of Gamore since the events of Avengers: Infinity War. Looking to cheer up their teammate, Mantis and Drax come up with the incredulous idea to kidnap Kevin Bacon and present him as a get-over-it present to Peter. Your guess is as good as mine about how chaotic things will turn out to be.
