Korra Obidi, Nigerian singer and dancer has slammed her followers for advising her to stay off social media.
The mother of two is currently going through a marriage crisis with her estranged husband, Dr. Justin Dean, who revealed his decision to divorce her a few days after the birth of their second daughter.
In the early hours of Wednesday, March 16, Obidi went on Instagram live while making food, and reacted to the comments of those advising her to take a break.
“All of you saying leave social media during this period, are you mad? Do you know that social media pays me? Leave social media, then how would my children eat? Please get out of my page, ” she said.
“You think I have the luxury of doing that? You think it’s fun and games for me? Just don’t let me lash out. Not everybody is fun and games on social media. Some people get paid from being here, okay? And now more than ever, I can not afford to be off social media. It’s not fun like it is for you. It’s a job okay?”
This reaction comes shortly after her husband, Dean stated that the singer was unbothered by the crisis and hinted on her making likes and views the highlight of their relationship.
He also revealed the divorce proceedings will begin very soon.
Obidi and Dean have been married for four years and share two children together.
