Simi Releases New Song “Naked Wire” — First Single Off Upcoming Album “To Be Honest”

There’s a new Simi song, “Naked Wire” to savour.

Simi released a new song “Naked Wire” on May 20. The song it the first of 11 songs on the singer’s upcoming album “To Be Honest.”

Simi first announced the album on May 3, in an emotional letter dedicated to her fans.

The pop star and mother of one had not released any album since 2019’s “Omo Charlie Champagne Vol. 1.”

She began the note by admitting that several factors had delayed the project, such as pregnancy and parenting her daughter Adejare–whom she welcomed in 2020 with husband Adekunle Gold–as well as influence from outside.

However, it seems those challenges have now been overcome, with Deja almost 2 years old, meaning there’s now more clarity and room to binge studio sessions.

“To Be Honest” will be Simi’s fourth studio album, and will release in a few days time, June 3 to be precise.
