Afropop Queen Yemi Alade Shares 5th Solo Album “African Baddie”

Afropop sensation, Yemi Alade has shared her 5th solo album African Baddie. The 10-track project arrived on Friday, December 2 via Effyzzie Music Group.

African Baddie features an ensemble, including Alade’s fellow Southeastern Nigerian musician Phyno, Zlatan, Lemar, Ghanaian vocalist Bisa Kdei, French singer Bramsito, and Jamaican dancehall sensation Spice. See the full tracklist below.

Fans would be particularly proud of the 33-year-old’s work on track 7, Get Down featuring British-born Nigerian singer Lemar. She plays on the popular Kool & the Gang’s 1998 hit song Get Down On It, with brief interpolations of Michael Jackson’s 1983 hit Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin‘.

African Baddie follows 2021’s 7-track EP Queendoncom, which featured noteworthy songs Sweety, and Ogorogo, and Fire.
