At the end of Black Widow, fans were left with major hints of what might come next in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The easiest prediction was of course a Hawkeye series that had earlier been announced as part of MCU phase 4 content that will air on Disney+. Although no one was really sure it would be this year, there is positive news for devote fanatics of the Disney owned studio. VP Victoria Alonso confirmed that Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel will still premiere on Disney+ before the end of 2021.
Three series have already been completed this year, with WandaVision kicking off phase 4 of the MCU, followed by The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and then Loki which just wrapped up recently. Black Widow also finally arrived cinemas after several delays due to the corona virus pandemic, which saw Marvel skip the entire of 2020, the first time there was nothing from the superhero giants since 2009. There are also several other shows and films with confirmed release dates in 2021; What If…? (Disney+ short animated series, August), Shang Chi and The Ten Rings (cinemas, September) Eternals (cinemas, November), and Spider Man: No Way Home (December). Albeit confirming that Hawkeye and Ms Marvel will join that list, and with barely 5 months left in 2021, the question now is when they might be airing on Disney+.
However, it’s now certain that 2021 would be a good year for Marvel and their fans. And with so many content primed for release in little over 5 month, the film and TV giants are strongly poised to end 2021 on a high.
