2022 could well be the year of live-action adaptation of video games. With the film adaption of Sony and Naughty Dog’s adventure game, Uncharted confirmed for release in February, Microsoft and Paramount have also tapped into the intellectual property of the hit Xbox space-themed scifi shooter game series, Halo to make a new TV show.
A teaser of the upcoming series was posted on Twitter on Saturday, January 29 alongside the announcement that the first official trailer will drop on Sunday, 30th January at exactly half time of the AFC championship.
The Halo series is based on the Halo video game series, and is set in the 26th century, as humans must find a way to defend the earth against an alien invasion.
Halo stars Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief, Jen Taylor as Cortana, Natascha McElhone as Dr Catherine Elizabeth Halsey, Danny Sapani as Captain Jacob Keyes and many more.
It will release on Paramount Plus on March 24, but first, check out the trailer below.
