Mavin Records Announces Special Music Project To Celebrate 10 Years Anniversary

To commemorate the event of their 10th anniversary, Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records has rolled out plans for special projects, including a ‘Mavin All-star Album’ & ’Mavin All-star Concert’ curated specially for their fans.

Mavin Records is one of the top recording companies Nigeria. The brainchild of Afrobeats leader and legend, Don Jazzy, it was launched on May 8, 2012, replacing Mo’Hits. In its 12 years, MR has housed notable Afrobeats stars, such as, Dr Sid, Tiwa Savage, Reekado Banks, Korede Bellow, Di’ja and more.

Their current roaster also includes fast-rising Afrobeats talents Rema, Ayra Starr, Ladipoe, Magixx, Crayon, and Boy Spyce. 2022 makes it 10 years since the record label’s inception, hence the celebrations.

The outfit also announced a new single, coming out on Wednesday, November 2. The all-star album is scheduled for release on Friday, December 2 and the all-star concert will happen two weeks later on Friday, December 16.

Mavin Records in the past has had a tradition of gathering its lineup of artists to make timeless music, such as the 2014 Mavin all-star song ‘Dorobucci’. Some of the label’s second generation artists (Ayra Starr, Crayon, Magixx, Ladipoe) came together to make the single ‘Overdose’ in May 2022.
